Claude Monet
Oscar-Claude Monet was a French painter and a founder of Impressionism, known for his efforts to capture nature as he perceived it. Throughout his career, he was a key figure in plein air (outdoor) landscape painting, consistently expressing the philosophy of Impressionism.
Claude Monet created Nymphéas in 1914. It is now part of the collection at Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Germany.
