Oscar-Claude Monet was a French painter and a founder of Impressionism, known for his efforts to capture nature as he perceived it. Throughout his career, he was a key figure in plein air (outdoor) landscape painting, consistently expressing the philosophy of Impressionism.
Claude Monet created La Cathédrale de Rouen. Le Portail et la tour d’Albane in 1894. It is now part of the collection at Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen in France.
