Oscar-Claude Monet was a French painter and a founder of Impressionism, known for his efforts to capture nature as he perceived it. Throughout his career, he was a key figure in plein air (outdoor) landscape painting, consistently expressing the philosophy of Impressionism.
Claude Monet created Springtime in 1872. It is now part of the collection at Walters Art Museum in United States.
