El Greco was a Greek-born Spanish painter known for his dramatic use of color, elongated figures, and expressive compositions. Blending Byzantine and Renaissance influences, his visionary style gave his religious and portrait works a sense of movement and spirituality.
Doménikos Theotokópoulos created View of Toledo in 1596. It is now part of the collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art New York in United States.
