Pietà

Doménikos Theotokópoulos

El Greco was a Greek-born Spanish painter known for his dramatic use of color, elongated figures, and expressive compositions. Blending Byzantine and Renaissance influences, his visionary style gave his religious and portrait works a sense of movement and spirituality.

Doménikos Theotokópoulos created Pietà in 1571. It is now part of the collection at Philadelphia Museum of Art in United States.
