Artsearcher is committed to protecting your privacy. We do not collect, store, or share personal data with third parties.
Artsearcher uses your device's GPS location to find nearby art galleries and artworks. Your location is used only within the app to provide distance-based results — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Location access requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Artsearcher stores data locally on your device including cached artwork, gallery, and artist data, saved favourites, learning progress, quiz history, and personal collections. This improves performance and may let previously loaded content remain available when your connection is poor. All data is stored on-device only and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time via the Settings tab in the app.
Map tiles are provided by MapLibre and OpenStreetMap contributors under open-data licenses. These services may collect standard server log data (such as IP address) when your device requests map tiles. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.
Artsearcher is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated via an app update. Continued use of Artsearcher after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
