Piet Mondrian
Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter and art theorist who became one of the pioneers of abstract art. He is best known for his geometric compositions of black lines and blocks of primary colours, which helped shape modern art in the 20th century.
Piet Mondrian created The Red Tree in 1908. It is now part of the collection at Kunstmuseum Den Haag in Netherlands.
