Jacques-Louis David was a French painter and one of the leading figures of the Neoclassical movement. His works replaced the ornate style of Rococo with a more restrained and emotionally powerful approach, helping to redefine European painting and influencing generations of artists.
Jacques-Louis David created Mars Being Disarmed by Venus in 1824. It is now part of the collection at Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Belgium.
