Bartholomeus van der Helst was a Dutch Baroque portrait painter known for his detailed and elegant depictions of the wealthy elite. His skillful use of light and rich color brought a sense of realism and grandeur to his portraits, especially in group compositions.
Bartholomeus van der Helst created Banquet at the Crossbowmen’s Guild in 1648. It is now part of the collection at Rijksmuseum in Netherlands.
